GRAPHENE OXIDE IS A TWO-DIMENSIONAL NANOPARTICLE FEATURING A VARIETY OF CHEMICALLY REACTIVE FUNCTIONALITIES, SUCH AS EPOXY AND HYDROXYL GROUPS ON THE BASAL PLANE AND CARBOXYLIC ACID GROUPSALONG THE SHEET EDGE. GRAPHENEOXIDE (GO) NANOSHEET HAVE EMERGED ONE OF THE MOST ADVANCED NANOVECTORS FOR THE HIGHLY EFFICIENT DELIVERY OF DRUGS AND BIOMOLECULES. THEY OFFER SEVERAL APPEALING FEATURES SUCH AS LARGE SURFACE AREAS WHIT WELL DEFINED PHYSIC-CHEMICAL PROPERTIES AS WELL AS UNIQUE OPTICAL AND ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES [1-9]. KERATOCONUSE IS AN ASYMMETRIC, BILATERERAL, PROGRESSIVE AND NANINFLAMMATORYECTASIA DUE TO GRADUAL BIOMECHANICAL INSTABILITY OF CORNEA. PERPOSE OF THISE STUDY WAS TO SYNTHESIS NANO-CARRIER THAT PASS THE RIBOFLAVIN (RB) WITHIN THE CORNEA. HENCE WE SYNTHESIS THE NANO-PARTICLE OFGRAPHENE OXIDEBY A NEW METHOD AND MODIFICATION WITH ORGANIC LIGAND AND THEN COUPLE WITH BIO-POLYMER OF CHITOSAN. THE RESULTING MODIFIED SORBENT WAS CHARACTERIZED BY FT-IR, ELEMENTAL ANALYSIS (CHN), AND THERMOGRAVIMETRY (TGA) ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE. THE SURFACE MORPHOLOGY WASE STUDIED USING SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE (SEM). THE EXPERIMENTAL COANDITIONS SUCH AS TEMPERATURE, TIME AND PH WERE OPTIMIZED TO ABSORB AND RELEASE OF RIBOFLAVIN BY SYNTHESIZED COPOLYMER IN BIOLOGICAL FLUID. THE EQUILIBRIUM ADSORPTION DATA OF RIBOFLAVIN BY MODIFIED SORBENT WERE ANALYZED BY LANGMUIR, FREUNDLICH, TEMKIN AND REDLICH- PETERSON MODELS.

Abstract: 

Aim & Background: Multiple Sclerosis is one of the most common inflammatory central nervous system diseases. In patients, there is a defect in apoptotic pathway making T auto reactive cells nonapoptotic and entering to blood stream. Among the genes related to this disease, there is a gene named CD95L involved in apoptosis pathway.Material & Method: In this survey, we included 30 MS patients and 30 healthy controls which were matched by sex and age. Blood was taken from cases and controls with consent. Next, total RNA was extracted and cDNA was synthesized. Then, by TaqMan Real-time PCR technique, the expression level of CD95L and HGPRT genes was evaluated. The results obtained were analyzed by Linreg and Rest softwares.Result: In this study, CD95L expression in MS patients did not show any significant decrease compared to healthy controls (p Value: 0.197). In addition, in comparison of CD95L expression level between men and women no significant decrease was seen (p Value (M): 0.142, p Value (F): 0.156).Conclusion: In this study, no significant difference of CD95L gene expression between multiple sclerosis patients and healthy controls was seen.

Abstract: 

Due to the importance of removing strontium ions in nuclear wastes, in the present work, while synthesizing hydroxybenzaldehyde propyltriethoxysilane ((EtO)3Si-HL) and pyridylmethylidene propyltriethoxysilane ((EtO)3Si-L) ligands, we investigated the properties of silica nanoparticles modified with these ligands as solid adsorbents in The removal of strontium ion from the aqueous solution was investigated and parameters such as pH, time, the mass of adsorbent, temperature, and interfering ions were tested. The adsorption behavior of the adsorbents showed that by modifying the surface of the nano adsorbent, the ability of the adsorbents to adsorb strontium ion at pH=6 increased from 6.31% to 86% and 22.11% using the (EtO)3Si-HL and (EtO)3Si-L ligands, respectively. The results of isotherms and adsorption kinetics indicate that the adsorption process follows the Longmuir isotherm and the pseudo-second-order model, respectively. Also, thermodynamic parameters show that strontium removal from the aqueous solution is an endothermic process. The positive entropy values are the driving force behind the adsorption process.

Abstract: 

In this research new adsorbents were prepared by modification of surfactant-coated g g-alumina with three ligands; 1- (2-pyridylazo) -2-naphtol (PAN), dithizone (HDZ) and dimetyl golyoxime (DMG). The adsorbents were used for removal and pre-concentration of Pb+2, Cd+2, Ni+2, Cu+2, Co+2. Aqueous solutions of the metal ions were passed through a column filled with the adsorbent and the retained cations were eluted with nitric acid. Recoveries greater than 96% were obtained for most studied cations. The selectivity of the adsorbent was examined in the presence of different interfering cations. The results showed that the synthesized adsorbents posseses good capacity and selectivity for the most studied cations. The reusability test of the adsorbent showed its capability after five adsorption-elution cycles.

AMINO ACID SHIFF BASE HAS BEEN PREPARED FROM METHIONINE AND ASPARAGINE AMINO ACIDS. THE RESULTS SUGGEST THAT H2L SCHIFF BASE WAS FORMED. THE CO (II) COMPLEX WITH 1:1 RATIO OF LIGAND METAL WAS PREPARED. THE STRUCTURES OF THE LIGAND AND COBALT COMPLEX WERE IDENTIFIED USING IR SPECTROSCOPY, ELEMENTAL ANALYSES AND ELECTRONIC SPECTRA. THE PREPARED LIGAND BEHAVES AS ANIONIC SPECIES AND COORDINATES TO CO (II) ION. THE INFRARED SPECTRAL STUDIES REVEALED THAT TWO LIGANDS OF ASPARAGINES AND METHIONINE WERE JOINED AND THEN CO COMPLEX WAS FORMED [2].
